Chongqing Mayors Training

The Chongqing government has been collaborating with APA to develop an ambitious and comprehensive training effort to bring all party secretaries (equivalent to U.S. City Council Chairman), mayors, and deputy mayors in the province to the U.S. for the APA Chinese Mayors Training Program. Chongqing is a provincial-level megapolis directly under the Chinese central government. The other three provincial-level cities are Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin. A region of more than 30 million people, Chongqing is mountainous with deep valleys and rapid streams crisscrossing the landscape. It is where the Three Gorges Dam is located.
