| Kids and Community is a
web site for young people created by the professional and educational association for
Americas city planners. The site is housed within the main APA web site at
www.planning.org. All entries are reviewed to meet our criteria of: 1. Being related to the subject of communities and city planning,
and 2. Communication that is respectful of others. The American Planning Association reserves the right to
refuse submissions that do not meet these criteria. Portions of a submission may also be
refused or deleted without notice. The American Planning Association seeks to
protect the privacy of young people who use the site and who submit materials for posting.
APA will not list last names, or addresses of young visitors on the web site. It
will not provide e-mail addresses of visitors to anyone. Because some of the content on the Internet consists of
material that is not appropriate for children, surfing from the APA web site and Kids
and Community may generate links or references to objectionable materials. APA
initially reviews links from its site, but it is unable to control changes to these sites
or the sites they link to after the initial review. Therefore, APA makes no guarantee
about the appropriateness of such linked sites. Submitted works, messages, or URLs may be published
in a variety of media styles, such as: CD-ROM, products, books, or other printed
materials. Submission of material to APA automatically grants the American Planning
Association the right to publish such materials. The copyright for the material remains
with the person who created the submission. Use of Kids and Community materials in World Wide
Web pages or any other publication or medium requires prior approval from the American
Planning Association unless otherwise indicated on the site. Any art work submitted by
visitors remains the property of the person who created it, and his or her approval is
necessary before it can be reproduced. |
