practitioner in mind. It reviews close to 100 books each year and lists scores
of new planning titles in each issue.
PAS Memo
PAS Memo highlights new planning programs, spots trends, and analyzes
escalating problems in land use and planning. It offers expert commentary on
hot topics like immigration, Internet resources for planners, and using remote
sensing technology for planning. It is published online six times a year for
subscribers to APA's Planning Advisory
Service.
PAS Reports
Eight reports on important planning topics per year containing information
you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.

Planning & Environmental Law
Planning & Environmental Law (formerly Land Use Law & Zoning
Digest) helps

It regularly abstracts crucial federal and state appellate court decisions,
summarizes important new state legislation, and analyzes the topics that interest
readers most. PEL
presents just the right information in an understandable and accessible format.
Zoning Practice
Zoning Practice (formerly Zoning News) helps guide you as you
write and administer smart development codes. Its articles explore real-world
issues and update you on code amendments, development projects, regulatory systems,
and design standards. The "Zoning Reports" section reviews innovative,
hard-to-find agency reports and books.
Environment & Development
Environment & Development was published by APA from 1992-1996.
AICP Planners' Casebook
Planners' Casebook was a quarterly series of case studies published
from 1992 to 2003 for AICP members of APA. They explored how planners manage
complex planning processes. Each issue is written from the perspective of a
practicing planner who was closely involved with creating the problem-solving
plan. The successor web-based publication is called Practicing
Planner.
Public Investment
Four times a year through 2003, PAS Memo was called Public Investment,
an issue of the newsletter focused on economic development and public finance.
Public Investment explored topics such as enterprise zones and fiscal impact
assessment, and considered new finance methods as well as old methods
applied in new ways.
