APA Joins State Resilience Partnership

APA has joined the State Resilience Partnership, a collaboration of 20 organizations to inform the work of state resilience practitioners and officials. The partnership is convened by the American Flood Coalition and The Pew Charitable Trusts.

All of the organizations within the partnership will work to:

• Advance resilience initiatives;
• Educate officials on established and emerging practices;
• Develop and promote research to incorporate resilience principles; and
• Support efforts to reduce funding barriers.

The partnership's initial focus is on flooding, noting that flooding has cost the U.S. more than $900 billion in damages and economic losses since the year 2000 and no state has been spared.
