More Instructors: George Dean is a partner with the Nashville law firm of Tune, Entrekin & White, P.C. He is recognized as an expert in the South on land use law. Mr. Dean has been involved in some extremely important land use (and other) cases at the trial and appellate court levels. He has principally written Legal Aspects of Codes Administration (Revised 2004). In 2009, Mr. Dean published the 2nd Edition of Tennessee Zoning Boards: Practice and Procedure. He continues to concentrate in land use litigation, as well as other litigation. Mr. Dean earned his A.B. degree, cum laude, from Lafayette College; and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American bar associations, and the American Planning Association. Samuel Edwards is the executive director and chief legal counsel for the Greater Nashville Regional Council. He is a former transportation planner with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, former planning director for the Wilson County/Lebanon Planning Office and former regional planning director and deputy executive director of the Greater Nashville Regional Council. Mr. Edwards earned his B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University, his M.P.A. degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American bar associations, and the American Institute of Certified Planners. J. Bryan Echols is a member of Dickinson Wright PLLC. His focus is on development of residential and commercial real estate, including zoning and land use, acquisitions and due diligence, financing, development, and leasing. Mr. Echols has assisted owners in the development of single-family, multi-family, mixed use and commercial centers. He also represents lenders in loan transactions, including credit facilities secured by real estate interests. In addition, Mr. Echols represents the Land Trust for Tennessee when landowners voluntarily grant conservation easements to preserve their land for future generations. He earned his B.S. degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Echols is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee bar associations, as well as the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. (0 Ratings)
