So you want to be a consultant ... how to get your foot in the water and survive during tough economic times

APA Nevada ChapterLas Vegas, NV

APA and AICP members will learn about the life of the private practice planner, the distinctions from public practice and the elements of success in a difficult economy. The panelists are professional planners who have diverse experiences in weathering a tough economy, and being versatile when public sector budgets plummet, perhaps to the peril of their former public sector position. Clear distinctions will be apparent in the case of sole proprietors or small practices, versus larger consulting firms in terms of the elements of success.
