Join us for the next Livable Idaho webinar: Leveraging for Livability.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Citizens Advisory and the City of Nampa will discuss how they have leveraged each others’ resources to address bike and pedestrian needs in the community.

LaRita Schandorff
LaRita Schandorff lives in Nampa and has been an advocate for bicycling and walking since around 2000. She started by organizing a bike and walk to work event at Northwest Nazarene University where she is an Assistant Professor and Reference Librarian.
In 2011 she received the COMPASS Leadership in Motion Award for
community leadership by example and in 2012 she was presented with the Citizen of the Year award by Mayor Dale for her contributions to
the community through volunteer service. LaRita founded, and continues to chair, the Nampa Bicycle & Pedestrian Citizens Advisory, which has grown to a group of over 200 citizens and promotes cycling and walking
for fun, fitness, and transportation.
Rodney Ashby
Rodney Ashby has led Nampa’s long range planning efforts for the past five years, including the development and implementation of several
city and district plans. Rodney is actively involved in improving bicycle and pedestrian safety in Nampa. He helped secure several grants to develop a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and then fund multiple priority projects from the plan. He initiated and supervises the state’s first city-based Safe Routes to Schools Coordinator position. He serves on the City’s Active Living Task Force and manages several bike and pedestrian infrastructure projects for the City.
