Fair Housing ActFlorida Planning and Zoning AssociationOrange City, FL Learn about the recent changes to the Fair Housing Act and related programs. The featured speaker is Mira Tanna, Program Manager with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida. The presentation will be focused on fair housing case law. The session is designed to share general information about fair housing as well as discussing issues related to group homes, accessibility, inclusionary zoning and affirmatively furthering fair housing.
The luncheon will be at Mi Tierra, 2235 South Volusia Avenue in Orange City from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. It will be a Mexican cuisine buffet with a drink included. The cost of the lunch is $15 for members and $20 for non members.
More Instructors: Mira Tanna Mira Tanna serves as Program Manager for Fair Housing at Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inc., a nonprofit organization covering 12 counties in central Florida. Previously, she served as Assistant Director for the Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing Opportunity Council, where she worked for nine years. She has a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. She certified as an accessibility reviewer / plans examiner by the International Code Council. She has written several Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for local jurisdictions in Missouri and Illinois.
