Technical Report for the Minority Pass Rate Project
To address concerns regarding low minority pass rates on the AICP certification
exam, the American Institute of Certified Planners commissioned a study by
Educational Testing Service (ETS).
The study aimed to address specific research
questions, such as:
- What factors contribute to differences
in pass/fail rates?
- What the factors contribute to differences
in
total and section scores?
- What is the importance of background
variables such as candidates' prior achievements, test preparation time,
test-taking strategies, and skill in actual test performance?
