Quarterly Achievement Report
Each quarter, APA Interact for Certified Planners will share Institute-wide CM achievement with all AICP members to track our progress and help you benchmark your own. The first two-year CM reporting period began on January 1, 2008, although many AICP members began earning credits as early as April 14, 2007, at the National Planning Conference in Philadelphia.
As of March 2009, 70 percent of current AICP members in the 2008-2009 reporting period have logged CM credits. Nearly 50 percent have completed at least half of the required credits, and over 60 percent have completed more than a quarter of the credits.

Table represents total members on the 2008-2009 reporting period = 13,688. This excludes members classified as exempt due to retired status or approval of a temporary exemption and those on the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 reporting periods.
Of the 388 providers currently registered, 83 percent are non-APA and 17 percent are APA National, Chapters, or Divisions. There are currently 2,679 approved events offering 20,623 credits, up from 1,981 events offering 13,731 credits in December. A total of 222 distance education events offer CM credits, up from 158 in December.

We continually monitor the availability of CM events. Distance education opportunities such as online courses, audio/web conferences, CD-ROMs, and podcasts will continue to play an important role in helping all AICP members fulfill their CM requirements.
Finally, we will be providing communication through APA Interact, e-mail, and posting to the APA website low-cost or free CM training opportunities to ensure all members are aware of these types of opportunities.
