Frank K.N. Chowdry
FRANK K. N. CHOWDRY is a partner in the law firm of Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, construction disputes, commercial transactions and affordable housing. He has lectured previously on land use matters for the Maine State Bar Association and to various other professionals. Mr. Chowdry is a former chief counsel of the Maine State Housing Authority and a member of the Maine State Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from Fairfield University and his J.D. degree from Boston College Law School.
James B. Haddow
JAMES B. HADDOW is a partner in the Portland law firm of Petruccelli, Martin & Haddow, LLP, where he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil trials. Mr. Haddow often speaks and writes about topics in civil trial practice. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction, from Colby College and his J.D. degree from the University of Maine. Mr. Haddow is a member of the Cumberland County, Maine State and American bar associations, as well as the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and The American Association of Justice.
Willaim V. Ferdinand Jr.
WILLIAM V. FERDINAND JR. is a shareholder and director at Eaton Peabody, PA, where he practices in the areas of environmental law land use and legislative affairs. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, PA, he was on the staff of the state planning office; where he advised the Maine legislature and state agencies on environmental and economic development policy. Mr. Ferdinand has spoken to various groups on areas related to his practice. He earned his B.A. degree from St. Lawrence University, his J.D. degree from Tulane Law School and his M.S.L. degree from Vermont Law School. Mr. Ferdinand is a member of the Maine State and American bar associations.
John B. Shumadine
JOHN B. SHUMADINE is a director in the Portland law firm of Murray, Plumb & Murray, where he represents abutters, developers and, on occasion, municipalities in connection with zoning, subdivision and other land use issues. He also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes about land and land rights. Mr. Shumadine earned his A.B. degree from Middlebury College, his M.A. degree from Old Dominion University and his J.D. degree from the University of Maine, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Law Review. Prior to joining Murray, Plumb & Murray in 2001, he spent two years as a law clerk, first serving as law clerk for Chief Justice Daniel E. Wathen of the Main Supreme Judicial Court from 1999 to 2000, and then serving as law clerk to Judge Kermit V. Lipez of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit from 2000 to 2001. Mr. Shumadine is a member of the Maine State, Cumberland County and American bar associations. He also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland.
