Coastal Wetland Identification

This one-day course aims to increase the ability of local decision makers to identify wetlands and wetland boundaries based upon hydrologic, soil, and vegetation indicators commonly found in the coastal wetlands of Georgetown and Horry counties. Dr. Richard Darden with the US Army Corps of Engineers will lead classroom and field instruction, which will include site visits to a variety of wetlands on the Victoria Bluff Heritage Preserve.
