Lambda Alpha International is an honorary society and a catalyst advancing the science of use, development and preservation of land resources; and facilitating interaction among members (in 22 international chapters) who have distinguished themselves professionally, academically and in their communities. Members represent diverse disciplines relating to the utilization of land and buildings. At semi-annual 2 day mobile workshops, (Land Economics Weekends) participants visit outstanding projects in the host chapter city, hear panels of professionals speak on issues relating to major area developments. Individual chapters conduct seminars, lectures and meetings where distinguished speakers discuss current planning and development issues.
