Kurt Culbertson (Design Workshop, Denver) did a great job as speaker. Catch him if you can. Also, the Raleigh Appearance Commission presented a brochure (or "take-away" as they call it") summarizing the results of a recent 2014 Design Survey. Titled "Promoting Community Dialogue to Foster Design Excellence", it effectively encapsulated detail-rich results through sophisticated graphics. Nicely done.

Very impressive the extent of his pro bono work, but like how he turned this into projects and turned the communities around.
