Enjoy a trip to two significant architectural and very different art spaces. Visit the Hollyhock House and The J. Paul Getty Museum, both graciously donated to the city to further enhance Los Angeles's collection of unique art spaces. This tour highlights two buildings with significant architectural influences that are vital aspects of the visual arts scene. The Hollyhock House was built in 1919 by Frank Lloyd Wright, a world renowned architect, for Aline Barnsdall who was a wealthy philanthropist. The home is located on Olive Hill, just steps away from Hollywood with sweeping views of the city. The once private residence was eventually turned into a functioning art complex that included three residences, a theater, a director's house, studios for artists, shops and a motion picture cinema. The house is a perfect representation of Wright's extraordinary ability to combine the local surroundings with form and function offering a linked continuum of private and public spaces — including a gorgeous roofs-cape that overlooks the city. The group will get a private tour through one of Los Angeles most unique buildings.

After leaving the Hollyhock House guests will head to the famous Getty Center. Perched amid the Santa Monica Mountain foothills (some of L.A.'s priciest property), the Getty Center is nothing short of amazing. Known for its outstanding art collection, architecture and amazing views of the city this private collection of oil millionaire J. Paul Getty, the Getty was founded on the mission to further knowledge about the visual arts. A private guide will lead guests through some of the highlights and offer a chance to view some of the influential works set against the modern historic architecture of the Getty.
