The City of Anniston, Alabama, is requesting statements of qualifications (SOQs) from experienced city planning individuals/firms/teams to facilitate and work with a community-based strategic planning process. This process will involve but not be limited to; community engagement, community education and orientation of a planning process, resource identification, stakeholder collaboration, and initiative based policy framework and community goals for social, cultural and economic development. Responses should demonstrate substantial experience in the connection to physical planning, community policy, citizen input and participation, focus group forums, task force development, vision benchmarks, milestones and goals. The selected individual/firm/team will work closely with citizens, citizen groups, elected officials, city staff, community organizations and corporations, private sector partners and other groups to be identified. A motivated and positive approach to the planning process is critical to define and connect planning, education, economic development and cultural enrichment for the betterment of the city’s quality of life.
