For Vice Chair

Christine M. Dersi

Christine M. DersiIn 2009, I received a Master's degree in Urban Planning, Design, and Development at Cleveland State University with a concentration in Neighborhood Development with a strong interest in regionalism and the new urbanist theory. During graduate studies, I served a national position with APA as the Region IV Student Representative Council Executive Member.

In 2009 I was hired by a local planning consulting firm as a Senior Planner, in 2010 was appointed a position on the Downtown Cleveland Alliance City Advocates board, in 2011 was hired as the Executive Director of APA Ohio, and most recently was appointed a position on a newly established Architectural Review Board for the local Township in which I reside.

In 2008 I was elected Treasurer/Secretary of the New Urbanism Division. My experience serving two (2) terms has been both fruitful and exciting. I look forward to taking my familiarity and knowledge of the Division to the next level by advocating smart principles and working with co-leaders to bring New Urbanism members the most benefit and resources available.
