New Urbanism Division Elections

Are you interested in taking a more active role in defining division activities and programs by serving as an elected division leader?

The New Urbanism Division will be holding its elections during December-January for two-year terms for Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary/Treasurer. Please review the descriptions of these positions, below, and consider running. Ballots will be distributed via e-mail, so be take a minute to review your APA profile.

October 2010	Call for Nominations, distributed to members
December 7, 2010	Deadline for interested members to submit their candidate statements
December 14, 2010	Nominating Committee finalizes slate; candidate statements posted on site
December 16, 2010	Ballots distributed
January 13, 2011	Ballot deadline
January 20, 2011	Candidates notified, results posted on website, and member announcement distributed

Eligibility Requirements

All nominees must be paid-up members of the American Planning Association as well as the New Urbanism Division. Nominees may not hold any elected APA national position.

As the new leaders will take office at the Division Annual Business Meeting during the 2011 APA National Planning Conference in Boston, April 9-12, 2011, all candidates should plan to attend the conference.
