For ChairVicki Taylor Lee, AICP
One of the goals of our division is to identify and highlight women planners. This endeavor not only recognizes leaders in our field, it encourages current and future women planners to expand their expertise. This is vital and highly productive at all levels. The electronic newsletter is an important tool at both the state and national level. We should target our American Planning Association members for recognition, networking and exchange of knowledge. This newsletter should have a priority with our division and be published quarterly at a minimum. I am an ardent supporter of planning and zoning and its importance for quality development in our world. As an AICP Director at Large for the Georgia Chapter of APA, I support a continuing education requirement for AICP members. I believe I am distinctively qualified to serve you as Chairman. My thirty plus years of experience in the planning and zoning field has given me a unique perspective on our changing profession. I have experience in coordination and management of projects from small to multi-million dollar developments. I have been involved with budget preparation and administration for facilities, departments and construction projects. I was elected as Vice-Chairman of the Planning and Women Division in April 2007 and served as Session Organizer for our two by-right sessions at the 2008 APA Conference where one had the highest attendance of all sessions presented. I have also served as Session Coordinator for 2009 through 2011 National Conferences. I have greatly enjoyed my time with the Division and am proud of what we have accomplished in the past four years, nevertheless, we have more to do and I stand ready to work for you and our Division. My name is Vicki Taylor Lee and I am the Zoning Administrator for Cherokee County Georgia and have been in this position for more than ten years. I've worked in both the private sector and city and county government. Thank you for your consideration. | ||
