Session Management contains useful guidelines and information for session organizers, moderators, and speakers. Use these web pages and remind your speakers to use them as well. Here is what you will find:

Important Information on Entering and Communicating with Speakers

In November, session organizers will be invited to go to Session Management on the website. This communication will take place by mid-November. At that time you will be instructed to enter the names and contact information for your invited speakers.

Once a name and contact e-mail addresss has been entered, an e-mail will be sent to the speaker asking him or her to come to Session Management online and confirm that he or she is a speaker. He or she will also be asked to submit mailing address information and biographical information, and give permission to record the session.

This information will be updated for the 2009 conference in the fall of 2008, so some information may change.

If your speakers are members of APA, they will need their APA ID number and password to enter the area of the website with the online submission forms for speakers.

If your speakers are not members or have not previously created a web user login at the APA website, they will be directed to a web page asking them to set up a online user ID and password for themselves. They will then receive an e-mail from APA confirming their APA ID and password. Please note: Some web users (particularly AOL users) may have a spam filter in place that blocks this e-mail. If speakers do not receive the e-mail with APA ID and password, they should contact customerservice@planning.org immediately.
