The Michigan Society of Planning, APA's state chapter, has submitted a white paper on planning statute reform to the Michigan Land Use Leadership Council, which is the special study commission appointed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm.

The recommendations suggest a number of critical reforms to the state's local planning, zoning, and subdivision statutes.
