APA Staff Member Wins Harvard Loeb Fellowship Harvard University Graduate School of Design has awarded a Loeb Fellowship in Advanced Environmental Studies to Mary Eysenbach, a senior staffer in APA's research department. Eysenbach will go to Harvard in September 2004 for a full school year as part of a program that will allow her to take full advantage of the rich resources of the school and M.I.T. Eysenbach has served APA for the past four years as director of the very successful City Parks Forum, a program for mayors of middle-sized cities. There is no doubt that the selection committee noted the degree to which she distinguished herself and APA in that capacity. The Loeb Fellowship was established in 1970 through the generosity of the late John L. Loeb, Harvard College class of 1924. Based at the Graduate School of Design, the program offers 10 annual postprofessional awards for independent study at Harvard. Through the fellowship, participants have access to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Design, the Graduate School of Education, Harvard Business School, Harvard College, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard Law School, the Kennedy School of Government, and M.I.T. Now entering its fourth decade, with more than 300 alumni, the fellowship nurtures the leadership potential of the most promising men and women in design and other professions related to the built and natural environment. It enhances the excellence of the GSD by exposing students to some of the most exciting midcareer professionals in their fields. Click here for more about the Loeb Fellowship. |
