Sustainable Communities 2004

APA is a cosponsor of this conference designed to help planners, municipal officials, citizens, scholars, educators, businesses, and development professionals create peaceful, healthy, economically successful, and participatory communities.

The conference will explore issues in depth and provide a range of learning experiences. Leading academics and professionals from over 40 countries will facilitate working groups, workshops, and other sessions in 12 different focus areas. Participants will collaborate to solve real-life problems and develop practical action plans to implement strategies. They will learn about case studies and best practices from every corner of the world, and participate in hands-on simulations of successful techniques. Unlike conferences that are a long series of presentations and one-way conversations, Sustainable Communities 2004 is structured for real dialogue.
