APA's Radio Public Service Announcements Receive National Award

APA's radio public service announcement (PSA) campaign "Going Green" was honored by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals with a Gold MarCom Award.

The radio PSAs, released as part of National Community Planning Month, encourage radio listeners to spend less time in traffic, help reduce demands on limited water supplies, and encourage participation in making their community a place that offers better choices for where and how people work and live.

APA also received an honorable mention for its recent podcast, "New Orleans Moving Forward." Stephen Villavaso, FAICP, of Villavaso & Associates, discusses the current planning status of New Orleans and the future of the city. The podcast was recorded in recognition of the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
