Job DescriptionDevelopment Services Director

Canyon County, Caldwell, Idaho is advertising for a Development Services Director. The primary function of the Development Services Director is to provide management and supervisory guidance for the County’s Development Services Department, including current and long range planning services, zoning administration, and building code enforcement divisions. This director reports directly to the Board of County Commissioners.
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration or related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred; and Ten (10) years experience in planning, development, county administration, or a related field, including five (5) years supervisory experience is required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skill and abilities necessary to perform the work. Must successfully complete a background investigation.
