Senior Transportation Analyst- Asset Management

We are seeking to add a mid-level or senior staff member to our Transportation Asset Management practice. Asset management projects focus on helping transportation agencies improve their resource allocation decisions and the development and implementation of effective infrastructure maintenance and preservation programs. Topics typically covered in these engagements include: policy development, performance and risk management, analysis of funding tradeoffs, project prioritization, and the application of IT resources to support business decisions. Work assignments may include performing data analysis, conducting best practice reviews, interviewing clients and documenting existing business practices, preparing and delivering presentations, writing reports summarizing findings and recommendations, and working with software professionals to design, implement and support management information systems.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, Public Policy or Planning; 5 years of civil engineering work experience with strong communications skills, familiarity with asset management principles and tools, ability to manage projects, and an understanding of Federal policy around asset management; pavement or bridge construction and maintenance project experience helpful; evidence of strong oral and written communications skills; project management experience; proficiency/familiarity with relational databases and SQL; attention to detail; willingness to travel; and desire for growth, and proven self initiative. Experience working with the U.S. DOT, state DOTs, transit agencies and/or other transportation entities is highly desirable.
