This is a highly responsible position with professional and administrative responsibilities that assists in the Planning and Development Services Division. Work involves preparing and presenting complex reports by developing work plans, researching and analyzing data, conducting public meetings, making needs assessments and reporting findings or recommendations to the Architectural Review Board, Planning Commission, and Planning and Public Works Committee. Work includes both current and long range planning activities and responsibilities, assists in the review and development of department policies and procedures, and other special projects including transportation related projects. Meet with the public, developers, and consultants to review and discuss development proposals and regulations of the City of Chesterfield.
Minimum Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements:
Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning, or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in Urban Planning; or, combination of education and additional years of experience. Transportation planning experience or education preferred. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification also preferred.
