Memberships and Subscriptions Extended

APA has extended for one year, at no cost, memberships (APA, AICP, chapter, and divisions) and subscriptions going to home or work ZIP codes that begin with the digits 369, 393, 394, 395, 396, 700, 701, or 704 and were due to expire December 31, 2005.

We have also extended for one year memberships and subscriptions in the same ZIP codes that were due to expire on September 30, 2005, and at the time had not been paid.

Due to disruptions in mail delivery, APA suspended all mailings to those ZIP codes for three months. And since the beginning of 2006, APA in conjunction with our mailing houses has been working diligently to maintain accurate postal service information on areas still not receiving mail.

Requesting Missed Subscriptions

As a result of the devastating hurricanes of the Gulf Coast region, mail delivery to the affected area was suspended causing many members and subscribers to miss several issues of their subscriptions. In an attempt to make receiving past issues of APA publications as easy as possible, we are providing this simple request form. Please click here to complete/submit your request. (Note that you will receive back issues for only those publications to which you were subscribed or that you received as a member benefit.)

Help for Planning Students

Many colleges and universities outside the impact area are making accommodations for displaced students. Students enrolled in the planning program at the University of New Orleans or another institution affected by Katrina can find nearby planning programs on the website of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning. Then, contact schools directly to explore your educational options.
