Planning for Choice, Mobility & Livability
APA on TEA-21 Reauthorization
This year Congress will vote on reauthorization of the nation's surface transportation
law, TEA-21. The new law will have a dramatic impact on planning and community
livability. APA believes reauthorization is an important opportunity to improve
the link between transportation and land use. APA's platform for reauthorization
is centered on four key principles:
- Building on the Foundation of ISTEA & TEA-21
- Promoting Innovation & Efficiency
- Advancing Choice & Sustainability
- Ensuring Access & Equity
