Habitat Protection

Habitat restoration and protection are important for preserving plant and wildlife species. Planners can help protect critical habitat through identifying and mapping these areas in open space, land use, and comprehensive plans and putting into place appropriate measures to ensure those areas of critical habitat are protected.
