Hotel Reservations
Housing reservations for the APA conference are being handled through Meet Minneapolis. Reduced conference rates are available. You may make your reservations by phone, website, fax, or mail as outlined below. Conference sessions will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Shuttle service will not be available. Several conference hotels are connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center via the Skyway.Hotel Information

THE HOTEL RESERVATION DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2009.
Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If your hotel choice is not available, you will be assigned to the next available hotel in your order of preference. Remember that hundreds of attendees will be making their reservations through Meet Minneapolis, and a set limit of rooms is available in each hotel. Failure to receive your first choice does not constitute an error. To secure the group discount, reserve your room by March 26.
Accessibility

Room Guarantees
No reservations (with the exception of those paying by check) will be accepted without a credit card guarantee. Be sure to complete the credit card information section on the reservation form. The credit card being submitted must be valid through May of 2009. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diner’s Club, and Discover are accepted.
Paying by check
Deposits made by check need to be equivalent to one night’s room rate plus tax. Checks must be made payable to Meet Minneapolis in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Wire transfers will not be accepted. (added a space between bank. and Wire)
Reservation Confirmation
You will receive your hotel confirmation directly from Meet Minneapolis via e-mail, fax, or mail. All confirmations will be sent to the person listed on the housing form within 72 hours of booking. A hardcopy will be mailed if no e-mail or fax number is provided. Review all information for accuracy. This is the only confirmation you will receive; you will not receive a confirmation from the hotel. If your confirmation has not been received by March 26, please contact Meet Minneapolis.
Changes/Cancellations
All reservations, changes and cancellations must be made through Meet Minneapolis on or before March 26, 2009. After April 16, 2009, contact the hotels directly. Cancellations within 72 hours prior to the day of arrival will forfeit the entire deposit. If you guaranteed your room reservation with a check deposit, refunds will be mailed after the conference.

Most rooms in our block are double-queens; rates are $119 single/double; triple rate is $129.
The major room block begins on Saturday, April 25, 2009; however, we do have rooms on Friday as well. At least one person staying in a guestroom must be 21years of age or older.
Reservation Method
To reserve a room call: 1-800-372-3131. Individuals must identify themselves as part of the American Planning Association to receive the special group rate.
Cutoff is Wednesday, April 1, 2009
Hotel allows individual attendees the right to cancel their guestroom reservations without penalty up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the attendees’ scheduled arrival date. Hotel shall charge the individual attendee one (1) night’s guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax for cancellation within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled arrival date or failure of the individual to check-in on the scheduled arrival date. Any remaining nights of a "no-show" reservation will be canceled. It is policy to require a credit card or cash deposit for incidental charges.
Hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Diners Club.
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is noon. Any departures after noon are subject to the full day charge.
