Local Events for National Community Planning Month

The 2008 National Community Planning Month theme is Green Communities. Below are brief descriptions of the many local events that will be held during National Community Planning Month in October.

Nevada

City of Henderson
The City of Henderson will be celebrating National Community Planning Month throughout October. Planned events include hosting a photo and video contest for the community, a planning department open house and planners visiting area schools to discuss planning with students.

New Hampshire

Nashua Regional Planning Commission's Great Places Contest
The Nashua Regional Planning Commission is holding a Great Places contest to celebrate the Nashua region.

Virginia Gov. Timothy Kaine signed a proclamation recognizing October as National Community Planning Month.
