National Vacant Properties:

Building Leadership to Restore Communities

Louisville, Kentucky • June 1-3, 2009

The American Planning Association has partnered with the National Vacant Properties Campaign to sponsor the second Reclaiming Vacant Properties Campaign conference.

This is the only national conference focusing on building the knowledge, leadership, and momentum to reclaim vacant and abandoned properties for thriving neighborhoods. Participants from around the country will come together to learn the skills and strategies to transform vacant properties into catalysts for revitalization. The conference will cover all aspects of revitalization, including brownfield redevelopment, financing opportunities, technology resources, historic preservation, business development and recruitment, and more.

The conference will be held in downtown Louisville at The Galt House, which sits along West Main Street, designated one of APA's Great Places in America in 2008.
