Urbane Planning
by Robert A. Jonas, AICP
Working as an urban planner since 1993 has exposed me to a wealth of unusual and frustrating situations that probably are shared by many planners. In response to some of these experiences, I began drawing editorial cartoons to vent my frustrations. The cartoons are titled Urbane Planning as a play on the profession of urban planning.
Urbane means "refined or polished," which we all know is not normally used to describe our profession or the situations planners face. I hope fellow planners can relate to and have a laugh at the experiences depicted in Urbane Planning.
