a. Responses to Question #13 (What other data needs do you have to best support your planning practice/ analysis/research?) are provided in the Raw Survey Response Matrix.

Table 3c lists 21 data sets for which Arctic coastal region respondents were asked to identify needs to support planning practice, analysis, and research.

The four data sets with the highest percentage of respondents indicating they had no need are:

  1. Navigational (40%);
  2. Archaeological/Cultural Resources (35%);
  3. Marine Jurisdictional Boundaries (35%); and
  4. Wages/Earnings by Business Sector (35%).

The three data sets with the highest percentage of respondents indicating they needed current data are:

  1. Bathymetric Elevation (70%);
  2. Land Elevation (65%); and
  3. Aerial/Satellite Imagery (60%).

The three data sets with the highest percentage of respondents indicating they needed time-series data are:

  1. Land Cover and Land Cover Change (55%);
  2. Aerial/Satellite Imagery (40%); and
  3. Economic Output by Business Sector (40%).

The two data sets with the highest percentage of respondents indicating they needed data projections are:

  1. Shoreline Erosion (30%); and
  2. Weather/Climate Data (30%).
