Table 1e shows that most survey respondents are certified planners. More than 59% of all respondents are certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP); nearly 57% are AICP, and another 3% are AICP Fellows (FAICP). Just over 40% of all respondents are not certified, but presumed members of the American Planning Association.

However, it should be noted that, although the survey was only marketed to APA members (regardless of certification), it is possible that some non-members became aware of the survey and provided a complete response.
