Showcasing Current Programs
Increasingly, documentary film producers are turning their attention to issues of sprawl, smart growth, and community revitalization. These programs — whether broadcast by local television stations, shown on public access channels, or available on video for use at meetings — provide APA members and other civic leaders with an opportunity to cultivate greater understanding of the essential role that good planning plays in "Making Great Communities."

In this section of the website, we will periodically post notices of documentary programs that are available in one or more of the following ways:

• The program has been scheduled for national telecast by one of the major television networks or cable channels.

• The program has been distributed to local public television stations to consider fitting into their own schedules.

• A video of the program can be purchased or rented for use on local public access cable channels or for small group screenings.

If you know of a film or video that addresses planning issues in a balanced, constructive manner, whether it is still in production or has already been shown in your area and would be of interest to audiences in other parts of the country, let APA's Public Information know.
