Creative Change Educational Solutions

October 2010

For Creative Change Educational Solutions sustainability is not treated as an isolated subject or unit in the curriculum; it is an idea or a way of thinking that is to be integrated across academic disciplines. Sustainability education requires restructuring of the curriculum and Creative Change, a non-profit organization, partners with K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and leading sustainability researchers to create resources and provide support to educators at all levels, from kindergarten to higher education and adult education.

Educational programs created by Creative Change include topics like sustainability by design, economics, food systems, energy, ecology, and multiculturalism and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a classroom or organization. The Curriculum and Resource Center includes frameworks, assessments, student booklets, lessons and full courses, and multimedia materials. There is also additional support available for professional development and technical assistance. However, access to these resources is not freely available; it requires a paid subscription which can be purchased for individual classrooms or entire schools and organizations.
