National Engineers Week Future City Competition

January 2007

The National Engineers Week Future City Competition was held February 19-21, 2007, in Washington, D.C.

With the purpose of getting more young people interested in the field of engineering, the Future City Competition challenges 7th and 8th graders to envision and build the city of the future. Students utilize SimCity 3000 software for their design concepts and are encouraged to use recycled materials in their physical designs. The competition showcases regional winners from around the country.
