Classroom Earth: Links to Environmental Education Websites

February 2007

Classroom Earth is a comprehensive and accessible environmental education resource website run by the National Environmental Education & Training Foundation (NEETF). Like ResourcesZine, Classroom Earth gathers links to multiple resources in one place, making it easier for educators to find the program that best fits their classroom goals.

Classroom Earth organizes resources into different lists: most popular, rising stars, after school, home school, and Earth Day. It also has government programs and "best of the best" lists. It is definitely a site to bookmark.

The National Environmental Education & Training Foundation is nonprofit organization chartered by Congress in 1990. It is made up of business representatives, former government officials, and nonprofit administrators. NEETF organizes National Environmental Education Week around Earth Day in April, which is the largest organized environmental education event in the U.S.
