National Environmental Education Week is the largest organized environmental education event in the U.S. Organized by the National Environmental Education & Training Foundation, this year's week has set goals of 100,000 educators, 3 million students, 50 million hours of learning, and 5,000 Earth Day service projects. It is free to sign up and participate.
The National Environmental Education & Training Foundation is nonprofit organization chartered by Congress in 1990. It is made up of business representatives, former government officials, and nonprofit administrators. NEETF runs Classroom Earth, a resource bank with links to many different environmental education programs.
