Bridging the Generation Gap and Other Planning ResourcesJanuary 2007 MIG Communications is an organization that provides a variety of services related to planning, design, communications, management, and technology. Their work has focused on ballot measures; revitalizing downtowns, neighborhoods, and communities; higher education; parks and recreation; schools; rivers and watersheds; children and families; and more.
MIG also has a number of publications that deal with planning and city design issues, such as accessibility for persons with disabilities, universal design, the environmental schoolyard, street games, playgrounds, plants and wildlife, and more. To give one specific example, MIG is the publisher of Side By Side: Exploring Your Neighborhood through Intergenerational Activities by Matthew S. Kaplan, which connects young people and senior citizens through community activities.
