Environmental Adventures

The Soil and Water Conservation Society has developed a set of seven Environmental Adventures cartoon booklets including The Story of the Land: Its Use and Misuse Through the Centuries. These hands-on instructional materials developed by a team of teachers and environmental experts are targeted to 2nd to 6th grade students. They are inexpensive (as little as $.85 each plus handling), require little preparation time, and may be used in language arts, math, health, social studies, and science classes.

The adventures present real-world environmental issues in graphic-novel format. Students learn about the environmental decision-making process using a computer with Robots of Cave Alpha: Creating a Livable Land.
