Communities big and small are seeking to increase energy and resource efficiency as well as utilization of renewable sources of energy to reduce operations expenses, stimulate economic activity, and reduce climate impact. This poster examines and assesses the Wisconsin Office of Energy Independence Energy Independent Communities program, an innovative voluntary partnership between state government and municipalities to engage in energy-planning activities at the local level.
