Energy Independent Communities: State-Local Partnership for Energy Planning, Commercialization, Education and Outreach in Wisconsin

Bio: I am an Assistant Professor and Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development Educator with University of Wisconsin - Extension, based in Walworth County. My primary activity is the design and delivery of University-based education and technical support to local governments, commissions, non-profits and associations. My topical focus is land use, sustainable communities, downtown vitality, and economic development; secondary topics include natural resources planning, agricultural preservation, and government process. I am the Co-Chair of the UW Extension Sustainability Team, coordinating and supporting development of research and curriculum on a variety of related topics for both local and state-wide audiences. I am currently President-Elect of the Wisconsin Extension Environment and Community Development Association (WEECDA) and Midwest Representative on the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (NACDEP) Board of Directors.
