National Water Trails System: Connecting Americans to the Nation’s Waterways
Date: Monday, April 15
Time: 12:00PM - 2:00PM
The National Park Service established the National Water Trails System to create a steadily growing network of quality water trails that promote recreational and conservation values and provide support to the water trail community. The system offers support and assistance to water trail managers as they seek NWTS designation and maintain and expand their efforts. This poster will provide an overview of how the National Water Trails System was established, details of how individuals and groups can become involved as partners in existing water trails, and step-by-step explanations of how to apply for this designation.
