Bio: Jason Su is currently the strategic planning intern for the City of Oakland, CA. He has worked on historic design guidelines, various specific plans, the city’s Housing Element , and other policies that promote economic and community development. Additionally, he is the research assistant for the San Francisco Planning + Urban Research Association (SPUR), a design and mapping consultant for the Committee for Green Foothills, and a campaign intern for Greenbelt Alliance. Prior to his time in graduate school, he was the Communications and Volunteer Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County Chapter. He also runs a urban design and planning website, www.citystudies.org.
Education: Master of Urban Planning (expected 2013) – San Jose State University Certificate in Urban Design and Community Development – San Jose State University Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Business Economics – University of California, Irvine.
