Bio: Mr. Zillig is the Planning Manager for the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and has nearly 17 years of experience in Planning and International Development Projects. Holding this current position for nearly 5 years, Mr. Zillig oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of all Zoning Regulations, Land Use Policies and Development Regulations across the Emirate. He also has overseen the creation of area plans for the redevelopment of the Central Business District in addition to work done to ensure the safeguarding of natural resources and historical areas of the Emirate. Prior to this position, Mr. Zillig worked for nearly 8 years as the Assistant Commissioner with the City of Chicago Department of Planning. In this position, he oversaw a wide range of projects ranging from Zoning to TIF projects and area redevelopment plans to historic preservation projects. Prior to his work with the City of Chicago, Mr. Zillig worked for many years on several international Economic Development, Education and Planning Initiatives in Chicago, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Education: Mr. Zillig has a Master's of Science from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Louis University.
