Bio: Kim Lundgren is the Director of Sustainability for Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. Ms. Lundgren has over 15 years of professional experience, the last 12 of which have been spent driving the development and implementation of local climate mitigation, climate adaptation, and sustainability programs around the country. In working with her clients, Ms. Lundgren promotes a comprehensive approach to sustainability and encourages deep engagement with key stakeholders in the community including, residents, businesses, and institutions. Ms. Lundgren also has significant experience with various energy baseline, building benchmarking, and greenhouse gas protocols and accounting tools. Ms. Lundgren is responsible for the development of the first municipal climate action plan in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was one of the first municipal sustainability directors in that state. Prior to joining, VHB, Ms. Lundgren was a senior director at ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA, Inc. While at ICLEI USA, Ms. Lundgren successfully delivered technical assistance and capacity building to hundreds of local governments around the country related to greenhouse gas management, strategic energy planning, sustainability planning, climate vulnerabilities, and climate adaptation planning. While at ICLEI, Ms. Lundgren led the development of ICLEI’s Climate Resilient Communities Program and one of the first municipal climate adaptation plans in the country. Ms. Lundgren is a member of the American Public Work Association Center for Sustainability and the American Planning Association.
Education: Ms. Lundgren has a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
Past Assignments: Ms. Lundgren has been a featured speaker at the last two national APA Conferences as well as the APWA Sustainability Conference.

Bio: Douglas Melnick, AICP is Director of Planning and Sustainability for the City of Albany where he oversees land use, neighborhood, & long-range planning, as well as all of the City’s climate protection efforts, including the development and management of Albany's municipal Office of Energy and Sustainability. This office developed the City’s baseline ghg inventory and the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, which was incorporated into Albany 2030, the city’s first comprehensive plan. He serves on NYSDEC's Sea-Level Rise Task Force Infrastructure Work Group and Hudson River Estuary Management Advisory Committee, New York State’s Climate Smart Communities Certification Advisory Committee, ICLEI's Climate Resilient Community Task Force, and the NYS Sustainable Shoreline's Advisory Committee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Urban Sustainability Directors Network and a National Charrette Institute Certified Facilitator. He previously worked in the non-profit sector in land conservation and urban revitalization and has served as Executive Director of the Albany County Land Conservancy and as a Planner for Capital District Community Gardens in Troy, NY.

Bio: Ms. Vincent is a Sustainable Communities Project Manager for VHB, Inc. based in Watertown, MA. In this role, Angela works with over 60 communities, primarily in New York and Massachusetts, to advance their climate protection and sustainability efforts. In New York she is currently working with the Climate Smart Communities program to provide technical assistance such as trainings, resource guides, in-person guidance, and webinars to local governments in the Capital Region and Mid-Hudson Region. In Massachusetts she is coordinating the public outreach for and development of the Greenfield Sustainable Master Plan in Greenfield, MA. As a volunteer, Angela is the Chair of the Lowell Green Restaurant Certification Program, which she helped to create in 2011.
