How does transportation connect with other food system-related planning roles? And how can food transport be improved to address a range of social, economic, and environmental goals? This session presents the findings of a collaborative research study and examines new models of food distribution and logistics that transportation planners can use to increase distribution efficiency while enhancing economic development and other goals of family farmers.
