National Capital Planning Commission members will lead this session on how decisions on memorial subject, site, and design are made in Washington, D.C. Discuss the challenges of building memorials in national and international capital cities—including design,, space and location constraints, and identity politics—and identify strategies to address these issues and broaden opportunities for constituents to participate in the process.
